Some Crazy-Awesome Things Are Coming Very Soon!
What I've been working on and what the near future holds for you.
Hello!
So, been a bit of a nuts week. Lemme let you in on some secrets.
I’ve been working on not one, not two, but three projects this week that I’m super excited to share with you.
And don’t worry, I haven’t been burning myself out. One of the projects I’ve been able to take a step back from and let it rest, the other is still in the pre-production phase, and the third doesn’t take a lot of effort on my end. At least, not anymore. That’ll make sense in a bit.
Let’s talk about it.
Ravengard update and new title
The first draft of the first Ravengard book is finished!!!
I love this project so much. Trust me, no one will be a bigger fan of Ravengard than me. I love these characters, I love this setting, and I love having the opportunity to explore these ideas.
This is such a fun and interesting story, and I cannot wait to share it with you. I’ve had a blast working on it so far, and I’m excited to make it better through edits.
Now, there is a slight change to the original title that I want to talk about.
The original title of the book was Ravengard: The Branches of Yggdrasil. But that just doesn’t have that sci-fi flair to it that the story itself has. I needed something more spacey. More cosmos. More sci-fi.
So, I settled on a slightly different title.
Ravengard: The Stars of Yggdrasil
There. That has a better feel to it, huh?
Everything about this project has been fantastic. From the research to brainstorming to drafting, I’ve had so much fun. And hey, this might even be the first project where I’ll actually enjoy the editing process.
Well, one can hope.
But this story is so much fun to write that I don’t want to stop. I just want to keep writing and writing and writing.
Speaking of which…
Ravengard 2
Okay, this is kind of a soft announcement.
There’s no release window for this. Nothing concrete to share. Just that it’s being worked on in the background and is definitely happening. I’m confident that you’re going to love the first Ravengard book, so I figured I’d get ahead on the next one, too.
It’s not exactly in active development right now. By that, I mean I’ve been brainstorming what the story will look like and where the series is going to go from here, but that’s as far as it goes. I haven’t done any drafting, I’ve done some light outlining (I mean, all of my outlines are light, but you get it), and the story isn’t set in stone.
But it’s being developed, it’s coming within the next few months, and it’s already been so much fun.
New secret project
Oh, yeah. The third thing. There’s one other project I’ve been working on this week.
I’ve promoted Killstream a lot on here. Like, a lot. I kind of disregarded my other work, which means not a whole lot of you know about it.
Fossil is a work of four novels. The first novel was released long before I started this Substack, so when I promoted the other novels before they were released, most of you probably had no idea what I was talking about.
Plus, there have been a lot of amazing new additions to this community, and a lot of the newer folks here probably don’t even know about the new Fossil books.
Basically, I’m writing a space story at the moment, but most of you have only seen my cyberpunk work.
So, to make things easier for you, I’m bundling all four Fossil books into one big package.
It’ll probably be digital only, but Fossil: The Complete Collection is coming very soon. Probably as soon as I finish editing the first chapter of Ravengard: The Stars of Yggdrasil.
Why until then?
Because what’s a good book without a little preview at the end?
Anyways, that’s all I’m working on now.
Ravengard: The Stars of Yggdrasil is now in the editing phase, which means it’s about 70% done.
Ravengard 2 is being worked on.
Fossil: The Complete Collection is coming very, very soon.
Oh, Fossil won’t just be on Amazon.
Which project are you most excited for? I’m most excited to share Ravengard with you. I’m really proud of how it’s turning out, and I can’t wait to see what you think of it.
Until next time!

I’m absolutely excited for Ravengard!!! Your next project sounds cool too. I don’t know anything about the Fossil series, so I will have to check them out. Good luck on Ravengard book 2, and I’m looking forward to seeing all the awesome new stuff you’re working on!
Can’t wait to check it all out
